Lima, Peru, April 2, 2013 – Intercorp Financial Services Inc. (“IFS” or “the Company”) (Bolsa de Valores de Lima: IFS) announced that Ms. Claudia Valdivia has resigned as Chief Financial Officer of Interseguro, effective April 1, 2013, to pursue other interests related to the Intercorp Group. As her replacement, Interseguro appointed Ms. Maria del Carmen Rocha Bedoya, whose title will continue to be Finance and General Services Division Manager.
Previous to undertaking additional responsibilities at Interseguro, Ms. Rocha oversaw accounting, treasury, financial planning and control, as well as general services and information security. Prior to joining Interseguro, Ms. Rocha worked at The Nature Conservancy (TNC) based in Arlington, Virginia. At TNC, Ms. Rocha rose to Director of Strategic Analysis where she leveraged
sophisticated analytical and financial expertise to design and execute strategic corporate initiatives. Ms. Rocha also previously worked at TACA Airlines in Central America assisting senior management in the airline’s strategic development, growth plans and performance management.
Ms. Rocha holds a Masters in Business Administration from INSEAD, and a Bachelors of Science in Industrial Engineering from the Catholic University of Peru.
